The practice of meditation has existed in human culture for several thousand years and in nearly every faith around the world. Meditation completely leveled my ADHD and transformed it into a powerful tool of manifestation and a fount of spontaneous positive energy. What is Meditation?
In Latin, Meditation means "to think, devise, contemplate or ponder". On the outside meditation looks about as fun as watching a rock grow moss - but that's because its not experienced from the outside, it's experienced within. Meditation is far deeper than simply sitting in place with your eyes closed; it's a ritualistic method in which individuals may search deep within themselves to reflect on the elements of their reality. Meditation for many is a mental and spiritual training method in which they seek enlightenment, inner tranquility or self improvement. Some individuals such as Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow Children are born with innate psychic abilities, which they can develop through meditation exercises.
Benefits of Meditation
Meditation is primarily an internal training program for your inner self, helping you to reach higher levels of consciousness and psychological balance. Meditation's benefits span a great gap in human wellness and inner growth, it can turn the cowardly into the courageous, the maddened into the enlightened, scarcity into abundance, fear into love.
Daily meditation helped me to conquer my ADHD, turning my "disorder" into a powerful tool for manifestation and visualization. What was a mind in chaos had been transformed into a focused, yet energetic source of creativity and inner peace. I began with just 15 minutes every day right after work at 6pm. Even though I hadn't meditated in well over 10 years I was able to pick it up right away, it seemed so second nature to me. I quickly became hooked on meditation, I hadn't felt so much drive to do something in the longest time. The thought of going home to meditate with my girlfriend got me through a lot of rough work days, and eventually the meditation payed off - I experience very little stress in general and I was able to find a little more rhythm at work.
Meditation has helped many with self discovery, guiding even the most lost souls back to acting upon a higher destiny. With each meditation session many grow closer and closer with reconnecting to who they really are, helping many to overcome obstacles in their daily lives and find sanctuary within. Meditation helps me to act with more compassion, to listen before I speak and to ponder the seas of the unconscious.

Methods of Meditation
There are currently many methods of meditation that are practiced throughout the world, but the beauty of meditation is its simplicity. All the meditation forms are different vehicles of ascension that can achieve similar or completely different goals. Something as simple as having a cup of hot tea in the morning while you're still waking up could be considered meditation. It's quiet, the lighting is still dim and you can hear birds chirping outside, wishing you a good morning.
Prayer is actually a form of meditation, unbeknownst to many followers of God. There is however a discrepancy behind the difference in intension behind meditation and prayer. In my personal view, prayer is more about asking for help from outside yourself, meditation is more about finding help within yourself. Now this doesn't make prayer any less meaningful, they're just two different methods of receiving guidance.
Yoga is a physically engaging form of meditation. Yoga is well known for improving flexibility, strength and energy circulation. Its many positions are often themed after elements of nature or the spirit of an animal, bringing us closer to the Earth spirit and the source of life energy we call God.
There are several approaches to meditation when one is looking within to achieve a goal. Some meditate on their chakra system, ensuring that their life energy flows clearly through them. Some meditate to enhance their psychic abilities, whether it be attempting to have a clairvoyant moment or converse with beings on different dimensions. Those who pursue the healing arts meditate to channel cosmic healing energy into their being so that they may use that power to heal others.
Meditation has become a global practice for inner development and for accessing higher realms of existence. This humble ritual can mold a frantic mind into a steady mind by retraining it to function more efficiently. Meditation clearly has a positive effect on physical wellness, for when you focus your attention on health you will manifest health through your meditation. One of meditation's largest divine gifts is the ability to allow ourselves to let go of our worldly, fear-based attachments. In my opinion, meditation will lead to a better understanding of ourselves and others, pushing our species toward a more enlightened state of existence.
