This quote is powerful in its simplicity. Some people spend so much of their precious time trying to be someone other than themselves; always trying to fit in with the crowd or do what's trending at that point in time. Dress like this and it will get you all the guys/girls, buy this because other people have it too, act this way or people will think you're weird. These things are all quite to the contrary, I used to live like this and it got me nowhere. I would smoke, drink and abuse my body just to feel level with my friends at the time. Once I learned to love myself for who I was, (a goofy nerd who loves to dance in public and is obsessed with tea) the universe shifted accordingly to suite my lifestyle. Sure it's good to feel accepted by others, but what truly matters is you do what makes you happy. Diversity is what makes our world so full of life with limitless possibilities, it's what creates the exciting contrast between cultures and what gives us all a unique role on this beautiful world we call Earth. Spend your time discovering who you are, then go out and add to the diversity of our spectacular existence! Add a new flavor to the awesome sauce of the human experience!

To me, this powerful proverb expresses the simple need to give 100% effort every time. Even if you fail again and again you should never simply give up on life. Never allow yourself to prematurely accept defeat without giving it your A game first. Keep a positive mentality about you and always know that you are a divine being of love and creation, if you want it you can manifest it. Many people submit before they even began trying, like how some people hate Sushi even if they've never tried it before. Don't just watch the world from the sidelines because you're afraid of failing, step into the ring and become a competitor. As long as it won't bring you or others harm, go for it and go all the way. If you meet resistance, redirect your energy, just don't stop. Swim down every river, if the flow is blocked, find a new stream. Seek the path that brings you the most happiness and success - and you will succeed in being happy! Never hold yourself back from your full potential.

I absolutely love Winnie the Pooh. Then again who doesn't love a friendly golden bear that always has honey in one paw and Christopher Robin's hand in the other. Among Winnie's many life lessons, this heart warming reminder shines through his belly-stretched red shirt. People forget that even the smallest act of love and compassion can have great impact on the way we perceive our lives. Even something as small as giving a genuine smile to the UPS courier can turn their day around. People are happily surprised that I open doors for others, and I do it with a smile. These small acts of genuine kindness can surmount to something beautiful and can help shift the negative mentality of others - even in the most fleeting of moments.

Hafiz, the Iranian poet, delivers to us true words of wisdom on actively shaping our own life experiences through the intent of the words we speak. When we constantly communicate with others on a negative vibration we actively build walls of negativity around us, creating a house of low vibrations. I try catch myself talking about things that diminish my happiness, internally acknowledge my error, and reword my vocabulary so it has a better outlook. Before you speak, you are thinking about what you're about to say (I hope). In turn, your thoughts also amplify what you're focused on. So in response, Universe/God/Source responds with more of what you're so fixed on. Your words are magnetized to the things that come into your life.

This quote is powerful in its simplicity. Some people spend so much of their precious time trying to be someone other than themselves. This is usually due to pier pressure wether it comes from parents, friends or government. Do this because it will get you all the guys/girls. Buy this because other people have it too. Dress this way or people will think you're a devious person. I used to live like this and it got me nowhere. Once I was able to love myself for who I was more than my delusion of impressing other people, the universe shifted accordingly. Sure it's good to feel accepted by others, but what truly matters is you do what makes you happy. When you emulate your inner self, others who emulate the same will gravitate. Furthermore, diversity is what makes our world so full of life with limitless possibilities. It's what creates the exciting contrast between cultures and what gives us all a unique role on this beautiful Earth. Spend your time discovering who you are. Meditate. Pray. Exercise. Create.
